Matthew Carlos, M.Ed., serves as the Associate Director for Student Support and Community Outreach at George Mason University since August 2017, following a role as Assistant Director in the same department. Responsibilities include managing student referrals related to crisis intervention, coordinating resources, and collaborating with various university units to support students of concern. Matthew also oversees the Patriot Pantry and participates as a member of the University CARE Team. Prior experience includes working as a Residential Counselor at Joe Gibbs' Youth For Tomorrow, where Matthew provided care and interventions for residents. Matthew is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education at George Mason University, having previously earned a Master of Education in Community Agency Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Old Dominion University.
