Daniel Altscher

Daniel Altscher serves as Co-Portfolio Manager and Head of Macro Research at FJ Capital Management since March 2016, concentrating on financial services and real estate. In addition, Daniel holds a position on the Board of Directors of Grasshopper Bank, where responsibilities include serving on the Audit and Technology Committees. Since January 2020, Daniel has also been involved as Executive in Residence at the Steers Center for Global Real Estate at Georgetown University. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Vice President and Senior Research Analyst at FBR, Investment Analyst at Hovde Capital Advisors, and Corporate Banking Analyst at Citi. Daniel earned an MBA from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business and a BS in Finance & International Business from NYU Stern School of Business.
