Walid al Zyoud

Walid Al Zyoud, PhD, is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of biomedical sciences, serving as an Associate Professor and Acting Dean of the School of Applied Medical Sciences at German Jordanian University since February 2016. Walid also held roles as Vice Dean and Acting Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department within the same institution. Previous academic experience includes a position as a Part-time Lecturer at the American University of Madaba and Assistant Professorship at Al-Zaytoonah University Of Jordan. Walid’s industry background features roles such as Medical Technologist at King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, Marketing Manager at ARCOMEX, and Medical Representative at Petra Drug Store. Educated with a PhD in Pathology-Molecular Biology from UNSW Australia, a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Yarmouk University, and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Walid also completed a fellowship in Responsible Conduct of Research at UC San Diego.
