Michael Ruiz

Michael Ruiz is a seasoned educator and school leader with over 17 years of experience in education, currently serving as the Human Resources Supervisor for Germantown Municipal School District. Ruiz transitioned into Human Resources in January 2025, aiming to enhance workplace culture and support district goals. Prior roles include 3.5 years as School Principal at Collierville Schools and 7 years as Assistant Principal at Houston Middle School, where multiple administrative responsibilities were handled. Additionally, Ruiz taught 5th grade English and Social Studies at Germantown Elementary School for 7 years and has been a CrossFit Coach since June 2017. Ruiz holds an EdS in Educational Administration from Union University, a Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Memphis, and a Bachelor's degree in Media Arts and Advertising from Freed-Hardeman University.
