Sam Zaid

Sam Zaid serves as Chief Executive Officer of Getaround and is a member of the Getaround Board. An engineer by training, Mr. Zaid has over two decades of experience in working with innovative companies in all areas of technology. Prior to founding Getaround, Mr. Zaid founded Apption, an enterprise software consultancy, and 360pi, a retail price intelligence platform which was acquired by Vista Equity. Mr. Zaid is the recipient of a number of accolades including E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year 2009, Microsoft Code Award 2008, and a Google Scholarship. He is an active member of the technology community and a co-founder of Fresh Founders, a club for young technology entrepreneurs. He holds an undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics from Queen’s University and is an alumni of the Singularity University Graduate Studies Program in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.
