Willard Lew

Willard Lew is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in process and medicinal chemistry. Currently serving as Director of Process Development at Gilead Sciences since November 2007, Willard has held various positions within the company, advancing from Sr. Research Scientist roles to leadership positions. Prior to Gilead, experience includes serving as Associate Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Sunesis Pharmaceuticals and Sr. Research Scientist at Celgene, as well as earlier roles at Gilead and a postdoctoral fellowship at Princeton University. Willard's academic credentials include a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry from UCLA and a BS in chemistry from UC Santa Barbara, complemented by postdoctoral research at Princeton University.
