Maly D. Rosado

Maly D. Rosado was elected President of the Court of Common Council in 2020 and is currently serving her second term. Maly grew up in Puerto Rico but has been a resident of Hartford for the last thirty years. Though she considers Hartford her home, she maintains a strong commitment to the people of Puerto Rico filling the role of both ambassador and representative. She consistently serves as a voice for the most disenfranchised members of their community by advocating for policies built upon the ideals of equality, inclusion, and respect. Her broad range of experience has allowed her to navigate the complex systems of City government laying the foundation to be a more effective and efficient leader. From her time as chair of the Civilian Police Review Board to her business analytics work with Travelers, Maly has proven that she has what it takes to get the job done. She is a proud daughter, sister, and mother and works tirelessly to move the city forward for the benefit of all.
