Mihretu Melkamu

Mihretu Melkamu is an experienced Information Security Professional currently serving as the Country Information Security Officer for Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, overseeing the implementation of the Information Security Management System for Ethiopia and Djibouti. Previously, Mihretu held pivotal roles in Information Technology Risk Management at Zemen Bank S.C., focusing on risk evaluation and compliance with IT policies, along with conducting IT audits at EthSwitch. Additional experience includes training in cybersecurity, engineering field services, and managing network security at various organizations. Mihretu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Arba Minch University, Ethiopia.
