Mihai Voicu

Mihai Voicu is Chief Security Officer for Telit, where he is responsible for the overall security of products and services that Telit offers. He is focused on security features offered to customers, corporate infrastructure (production, databases, vulnerabilities etc), vendors interface for security issues as well as regulatory and certification issues. Prior to this role, he was the Chief Information and Security Office for ILS Technology since 2010.

Mihai Voicu joined TELIT through ILS Technology as the senior software engineer in 2001. He worked on the initial architecture of the ILS Technology security product secureWISE Collaborate. Prior to ILS Technology, he worked for Nortel Networks as R&D senior software engineer.

Mihai Voicu holds a Master of Science on Applied Electronics from Polytechnic Institute, Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications Bucharest, Romania. In 2007, Mihai Voicu earned his doctorate from University Of Agronomic Studies (Bucharest, Romania) with the thesis title “Research studies regarding implementation of the program ‘Virtual Enterprises’ and its utilization to improve business management”.

Mihai Voicu also holds CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) and C|EH(Certified Ethical Hacker) certifications, and is currently acting as chair for TIA (www.tiaonline.org) TR-50 M2M – Smart Device Communications standard committee.
