Katryna Johnston is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in emergency management and strategic policy within Global Affairs Canada, currently serving as the Director of the Summits Management Office for the G7 2025 Presidency. Previous roles include senior advisor to the Director General for Security and Emergency Management, where Katryna developed briefing products for senior management, and deputy director focused on emergency management training and exercises. Katryna's diverse background encompasses emergency planning, tactical planning, and business continuity program development, complemented by foundational experience as a naval communicator in the Canadian Armed Forces and a protection officer at The Ottawa Hospital.
