Amanda Young

Amanda Young is a seasoned professional in sustainability and responsible investment, currently serving as a Senior Advisor at the Global Ethical Finance Initiative (GEFI) since October 2024. Previously, Amanda held the position of Chief Sustainability Officer at abrdn from March 2018 to October 2024, where the focus was on integrating sustainability into the investment process as part of the executive team. Amanda's career includes roles such as Global Head of Responsible Investment at Standard Life Investments (Holdings) Limited and Head of Responsible Investment at Newton Investment Management, as well as an early role as a SRI Officer at Newton. Amanda's expertise in environmental and social matters in investment is substantiated by a solid educational background, including a BSc Hons in Psychology from Lancaster University and studies at the University of Colorado Boulder.
