Annaka Peterson

Annaka Peterson is an experienced leader in climate action, sustainable finance, and program development, currently serving as the Head of Partnerships at the Global Green Growth Institute since July 2017. In this role, Annaka leads strategies to establish impactful partnerships and manage a substantial resource mobilization pipeline exceeding USD 100 million annually. Previous positions at the institute include Country Representative and Deputy Country Representative, where Annaka significantly increased program funding and provided policy support to the Government of Lao PDR. Annaka's expertise was further developed through various roles at Oxfam, where responsibilities included leading the organization’s global climate change policy team and managing significant collaborative initiatives across multiple countries. Annaka holds a Master's Degree in Policy Studies from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor's Degree in International Political Economy and Chinese Language and Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with a Paralegal Certificate from George Mason University.
