Joia M. Johnson

Joia M. Johnson is a business executive who currently serves as the Director at Global Payments. Joia has an extensive background in law and has held various leadership positions at notable companies throughout their career.

Johnson began their career as a Vice President at H.J. Russell & Company. Joia then moved to RARE Hospitality International, Inc. where they served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. In 2007, Johnson joined Hanesbrands Inc. as their Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. Joia held this position for over 10 years before moving to Crawford & Company in May of 2011. At Crawford & Company, Johnson served as a Member of the Board of Directors. In October of 2018, they joined the Board of Directors at TSYS and held this position until September of 2019.

Johnson has been with Global Payments since January of 2020 and currently serves as their Director.

Joia M. Johnson has a Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School and a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy and Economics from Duke University. Joia also has a Diploma from The Westminster Schools.
