John Lewis

John Lewis is a fully qualified mathematics teacher and tutor with extensive experience in education, currently operating as a self-employed tutor since June 2013 and serving as an online math tutor since 2018. Lewis has been a Teacher of Mathematics at Gloucestershire Hospital Education Service since October 2015, focusing on supporting students with Special Educational Needs. Additionally, Lewis serves as an examiner for OCR, marking and assessing exam papers since May 2015. Previously, Lewis was the owner and area advisor for Home School Tutoring in Gloucestershire and Herefordshire from January 2015 to November 2022 and taught at John Kyrle High School from June 2010 to December 2014. Prior to the education sector, Lewis worked as a Senior Site Engineer in construction and civil engineering from 2000 to 2009 and was an Assistant Flood Defences Engineer at the Environment Agency from 1992 to 1998. Lewis holds a Certificate in Teaching A Level Maths from the University of Warwick, a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics from the University of Gloucestershire, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Wales, Cardiff.
