Hemlata Vyas

Hemlata Vyas, PhD, is a highly experienced professional in procurement and contracts, currently serving as the EVP & Group Head for Procurement & Contracts at GMR Group since February 2014. Vyas has successfully finalized procurement worth over 20,000 crores for various projects, including airports and energy sectors, and led the implementation of an Integrated Procurement Platform. Previous roles include General Manager at Jindal Steel & Power Ltd., where procurement efforts exceeded $500 million annually, and Vice President & Head at GMR Goa International Airport Ltd., where Vyas established a procurement framework. With a strong educational background including a fellowship in Finance from the Management Development Institute and specialized training in Project Management from The George Washington University, Vyas is recognized for expertise in contract management, risk assessment, and team development within the infrastructure and energy sectors.
