Tim Hewitt

Tim Hewitt has over two decades of experience in the mining industry, currently serving as Vice President of Mining and Technical at Gold Fields since May 2016. Previously held roles include General Manager for St Ives Gold Mine and Mining Manager for Wallaby Mine at Granny Smith Operations. Prior to Gold Fields, Tim was Mine Manager at Newmont Mining Corporation, where responsibilities included overseeing safe production at the Tanami UG DBS operation. Tim's career also includes significant positions at St. Barbara Ltd, Castlemaine Goldfields Limited, LGL Gold, Orica Mining Services, and Pasminco Mining. Tim holds a Master of Business Administration in Economics from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Mining Engineering (Hons) from Federation University Australia, complemented by further education at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
