Andrés Hernández-Schafhauser

Andrés Hernández-Schafhauser is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the television and streaming technology sectors. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer for Android TV OS at Google since August 2022, Andrés previously held the position of Senior Partner Engineer at Netflix from September 2014 to August 2022, focusing on SDK integration for set-top boxes and consumer electronic TVs globally. Andrés also co-founded Mobs, where the role of Chief Technology Officer involved creating personalized video content. Prior experience includes significant contributions at Yahoo! in Smart TV development, as well as leadership roles at THEOS Software Corporation and advanced development work at AST and Centro de Calculo de Tenerife. Educational background includes a Diploma in Systems Engineering from Politécnico de Ofra / IES Cesar Manrique.
