Lia Garkie

Lia Garkie is currently an Account Strategist in Mid-Market Sales at Google since October 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Lead in Supply Growth & Accounts and Senior Team Lead in Account Growth & Digital Strategy at AdQuick from January 2022 to October 2024. Lia also served as a Business Development Specialist at Vicarious AI from August 2020 to January 2022, and as an Account Development Representative at Fleetsmith in 2020. Earlier experience features a role as Packaging Engineering Intern at E. & J. Gallo Winery, contributing to the design and optimization of wine packaging from April to November 2018. Lia was involved in research at the US Department of Energy as a Funded Researcher in the Algae Technology Group at Cal Poly, focusing on sustainable biofuels, and worked on prosthetic design as an intern with the Quality of Life Plus Program in 2017. Additionally, Lia assisted in synthesizing nanogel additives for dental composites at the University of Colorado Denver in 2016. Lia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
