Rachel Derkits-Gelman is a skilled user experience researcher with extensive experience in leading teams and providing user insights for digital products. Currently serving as a Staff User Experience Researcher at Google since February 2018, Rachel previously held significant roles including Managing Director of User Insight & Strategy at The New York Times and UX Research Lead at Tembow, a company co-founded by Rachel that supports micro-businesses in social media marketing. Additional expertise was gained through positions at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, IDEO, Arnell Group, and NEST - The Home Lab, where Rachel contributed to design innovation and brand strategy. Rachel holds a Master's degree in Cultural and Social Anthropology from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology & Psychology from Dartmouth College, supplemented by yoga teacher training from Kripalu Center For Yoga & Health.
