Thea Kluge Carter

Thea Kluge Carter is a seasoned UX Lead and Manager at Google, specializing in Google Maps since October 2013. With a diverse background, Thea served as the Principal and Creative Director at Dot & Smudge LLC and held roles as Creative Director and Director of User Experience at both Dom & Tom and Wanderfly, the latter of which was acquired by TripAdvisor. Previous experience includes positions as Art Director at Funny Garbage and Inc Design, contributing to large-scale interactive projects and corporate materials for Fortune 500 companies. Thea owns a freelance design company, TheaThea, and has also worked as Creative Director for Whim Quarterly. Educational credentials include a BFA in Design from The Cooper Union and studies at the Fachhochschule Beider Basel.
