Benjamin Scott

Benjamin Scott currently serves as Chief of Police at Gordon State College, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this role, Benjamin held the title of Police Inspector at the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia from May 2017 to March 2024, focusing on training coordination, executive protection, investigations, agency assessments, and emergency management. Benjamin also served as Police Lieutenant at Columbus State University from August 2012 to April 2017, managing the patrol division and overseeing accreditation and emergency management coordination. Earlier experience includes work as a Police Corporal for the Columbus Consolidated Government from March 1995 to August 2012. Benjamin is an ABD Doctoral Student in Public Administration at Valdosta State University, with a Master's Degree in Public Safety Administration from Columbus State University and a Bachelor's Degree in History from Auburn University at Montgomery.
