Karina Gould serves as the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons and has held multiple cabinet positions including Minister of Families, Children, and Social Development, Minister of International Development, and Minister of Democratic Institutions since joining the Government of Canada in December 2015. A Member of Parliament for Burlington since October 2015, Karina Gould previously worked as a consultant in political, social, and cultural analysis and as a trade and investment specialist at Promexico. Gould's educational background includes an MPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Joint Honours Political Science and Latin American and Caribbean Studies from McGill University.
