Cathal Phelan

Cathal Phelan is an experienced professional currently serving as a Graduate Policy Analyst/Economist at the Department of Public Expenditure & Reform since September 2022. Previously, Cathal held the position of Liquid Development Technologist at Quintessential Brands Group from January 2020 to October 2021, and completed an internship in Risk Advisory at Deloitte Ireland in the summer of 2019. A strong foundation in customer service was developed through roles at Dec's Bar as a barman from 2011 to 2019 and as a Sales Assistant at Topline Phelan's Hardware in 2015. Cathal holds a Master of Science in Economics from Maynooth University (2020-2022) and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from University College Cork (2015-2019), with additional educational experience at UCLA in 2017.
