David Hickey

David Hickey has a robust political and professional background, currently serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Government of New Brunswick since November 2024. Prior to this role, David served as a Special Advisor to MP Wayne Long in the House of Commons of Canada from November 2021 to November 2024 and held the position of Councillor for the City of Saint John from May 2019 to November 2024. David's experience also includes a role as Senior Manager of Marketing & Communications at Heart & Stroke NB from July 2018 to December 2021 and work as a Legislative Assistant to Wayne Long MP in the House of Commons from November 2015 to June 2018. Academically, David earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Economics from the University of New Brunswick (2014-2017) and studied International Business at the University of Ottawa (2013-2014), following completion of the International Baccalaureate program at Saint John High School (2009-2013).
