Sean Smith

Sean Smith serves as a Course Coordinator at the Government Training Agency and NCRPSTA, focusing on Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Investigations. With extensive experience at the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department since 1993, Sean holds roles as a Detective in various task forces including Hi-Tech Crimes and Internet Crimes Against Children. Additional experience includes instructorships in Dark Web/Cryptocurrency Investigations and Digital Evidence Forensics across multiple organizations such as California POST, the California District Attorneys Association, and the California Department of Justice. Sean also contributes as a Board member for the Northern California Organized Retail Crime Association and has previously served as Legislative Liaison for the California Financial Crimes Investigator's Association. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University-Sacramento.
