MAAN (MARK) HAMDAN is an established corporate executive and entrepreneur with a wealth of hands-on experience providing focused leadership, building effective management teams and creating and developing profitable businesses.
Maan is the founder of TechGenies LLC, a global software development company that provides outsourced teams for software development and operations support to companies around the world.
In 1999, Maan founded HRsmart, a global provider of talent management software technology and services, and grew the company globally to over 32 countries, before selling it to Deltek in 2015.
In Lebanon, Maan founded HR Technology (2005) to provide talent management solutions for the Middle East markets, and HRS Technology, a software factory (2007).
Before that, Maan co-founded and managed a few companies. Among those are Calligraphix, a calligraphy art producer (1991) and Directel, a multi-national paging company that employed over 500 professionals in Brazil and Argentina (1996). He also co-founded and served as chairman of the board for CNI (1995), an executive recruiting firm, and Careernet (1994), a public career board, both based in Florida, USA.
As a corporate executive between 1980 and 1994, Maan headed the national indirect distribution for PageNet, the largest paging company in the world at the time. He also held various senior sales and marketing positions for telecommunications conglomerate GTE (currently Verizon). He also worked as a Quality Engineer for Saudi Oger, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia between 1980 and 1985.
Maan received his BEEE in computer systems engineering from the American University in Beirut and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. He also pursued doctoral studies in economics at the University of South Florida.
Maan sits on the board of few companies and is a philanthropist, having established a global education foundation (www.EducationUnbound.com) for the benefit of disadvantaged kids globally.
