Dave Dempsey

Dave Dempsey is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the power generation and mechanical design industries. Currently serving as the Mechanical Engineer IV at Grant County Public Utility District since May 2015, Dempsey leads mechanical engineering efforts for long-term renewable power solutions, focusing on Small Modular Reactors and hydrogen production. Prior to this, Dempsey held the position of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Genie Industries from July 2007 to May 2015, where responsibilities included leading new product development projects such as the Genie SX-135 and SX-180. Dempsey began the career as a Mechanical Design Engineer at PSM LLC, a division of Cascade Corp, from April 2003 to July 2007, specializing in construction attachments for hydraulic equipment. Dempsey earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University between 1998 and 2002.
