Hywel Payne

Hywel Payne is an accomplished Principal Sound Designer at Great Ape Games since July 2022, with a robust background in sound design across various gaming companies. Previously, Hywel served as a Senior Sound Designer at Hangar 13, contributing to projects such as Marvel's Midnight Suns and the remastered Mafia: Definitive Edition. Prior roles at Supermassive Games included work on the award-winning Little Hope, as well as other titles like Hidden Agenda and Man of Medan. With additional experience at Ubisoft and various contract positions, Hywel has developed sound for popular games including Guitar Hero Live and Until Dawn. Hywel holds a BA(Hons) degree in Broadcasting from Ravensbourne University London, completed in 2007.
