Janine Cole

Janine Cole is an accomplished sustainability professional currently serving as the Chair of The Better Buildings Partnership since September 2021, focusing on improving building sustainability among leading UK property owners. With over two decades of experience at GPE, Janine holds the position of Sustainability and Social Impact Director, where responsibilities include shaping business strategy for sustainability initiatives and social impact. Significant achievements encompass launching a variety of sustainability strategies, leading a Net Zero Carbon Roadmap, and supporting the business through the Covid pandemic. Earlier roles at GPE included Director of Sustainability and Community, Head of Sustainability, and Safety, Health and Environmental Manager. Janine's career commenced at Carphone Warehouse as a Sales Assistant and at National Britannia as an Administrator for the health and safety division. Janine holds a BScEcon in European Studies with Spanish from Aberystwyth University, class of 1996.
