Colin Barnes

Colin Barnes is an experienced professional specializing in diversity, equality, and inclusivity within public service. Currently serving as Associate Partner for Academy Learning and Inclusivity and for Talent, Attraction and Retention at Greater Manchester Combined Authority since November 2016, Colin focuses on organizational culture change, community-led attraction, and increasing representation from under-represented groups. Previous experience includes a tenure at Greater Manchester Police from August 2005 to November 2016 as a Police Constable, where Colin engaged in community policing, demand reduction, and training in recruitment and equality. Colin's career began in retail management at Marks and Spencer and Asda, along with an extensive managerial role at Littlewoods PLC. Education was completed at Sutherland High School in Greater Manchester.
