Gennady is a Chairman of the Supervisory Board of VEON, a Nasdaq-listed mobile communications and digital services group with 200+ million subscribers across ten countries. He is also a member of the advisory board of DVO Real Estate, a New York based private real estate investments firm focused on providing equity solutions for middle-market, multifamily investments in select markets across the United States.
Over the years, Gennady served in a number of non-executive roles with several private equity firms: L1 Technology, Lindsay Goldberg, and General Atlantic. From 2007 to 2012 Gennady served as CEO of EastOne, an international investment advisory group managing a diversified portfolio of assets in Ukraine, Europe, and US. Prior to EastOne, Gennady worked at McKinsey's New York and Moscow offices. He left as a Senior Partner in charge of the CIS practice. During his 14-year consulting career, he was an active member of the Telecommunications practice and advised on multiple of corporate transformations for some of the largest Russian and Ukrainian business groups.
Gennady is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Genesis Philanthropy Group, an organisation that supports and launches projects and institutions focused on ensuring preservation of Jewish culture, heritage, and values. He is also a member of the Planning Committee of Taglit-Birthright Israel, a not-for-profit educational organization that sponsors free ten-day heritage trips to Israel for young adults.
Gennady holds an MBA degree from the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania, a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
