David Turnbull

David Turnbull is a Senior Advisor and fractional CTO at GRoW Oyster Reefs, LLC, focusing on coastal resilience and aquatic ecosystem restoration. Turnbull serves on the Advisory Board for THE CIRCLE, contributing to strategic initiatives and educational programming. As a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Portsmouth, Turnbull collaborates on interdisciplinary research in urban design, engineering, and sustainability. Involvement with the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce includes being a Fellow and Chair for the RSA_US Student Design Awards. Additional roles include mentoring at Dark Matter Labs, teaching at ASU Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, and serving as a Visiting Professor at Kent State University. Turnbull has also been an Advisory Board Member for the Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia and a Visiting Expert at Arup, providing expertise in integrated city planning. Academic contributions include serving as an External Examiner at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. David Turnbull holds a degree from the University of Bath.
