David Furey

David Furey is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in engineering management and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Guardian News & Media since September 2014, David leads a team focused on enhancing the Guardian's supporter proposition and previously oversaw the migration of a large commenting platform to AWS. Prior roles include Software Engineer at Beamly, where David developed insights for TV viewing innovations, and R&D Manager at BW Broadcast, where leadership involved the development of new FM broadcasting products. David's career began as a Software Developer at the University of York, following an educational background culminating in an MEng in Electronic Engineering with Music Technology Systems from the same institution.
