Chris Butler

Chris Butler currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Clarity Software Solutions, a SaaS-based healthcare IT company that provides health plans with technology to drive member engagement through multimodal communications. Chris is also Chairman of the Board of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, one of the nation’s largest non-profit behavioral health organizations providing services, insight, and leadership in the evolving field of behavioral healthcare. Chris also serves on the Consumer and Business Advisory Board of Independence Blue Cross.

Previously, Chris was Chairman of the Board of NaviNet and served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at Independence Blue Cross (IBC), one of the largest health insurance carriers in the country serving over 8 million members in 24 states. As COO, Chris was responsible for leading IBC’s sales and marketing, provider networks and contracting, medical management, operations, information technology, and government programs. Chris retired from IBC in July 2010 after a career spanning 35 years in the health insurance industry with three different Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans.

Chris graduated with a B.A. from Saint Francis University.
