Mark Frantz

Mark Frantz is currently the Director at Gunnison Consulting Group. Prior to this, they served as the Board of Directors for CSRA Inc from November 2015 to April 2018. CSRA was acquired by General Dynamics for $9.7 billion. Mark has also been Managing General Partner at In-Q-Tel from January 2006 to December 2006. In-Q-Tel is a nonprofit venture capital firm that invests in technology companies working on products with national security applications. Prior to In-Q-Tel, Mark was a Principal in Venture Capital at The Carlyle Group from January 2001 to December 2006. The Carlyle Group is one of the world's largest private equity firms. Mark has also served as the General Partner at RedShift Ventures from January 2007 to December 2009. RedShift Ventures is a venture capital firm that invests in early stage companies. Prior to RedShift Ventures, Mark was an Associate to the Senior Chairman at Alex. Brown from January 1997 to December 2000. Alex. Brown was one of the oldest investment banks in the United States before it was acquired by Bankers Trust in 1997. Before Alex. Brown, Mark served as the Economic and Technology Policy Advisor to Gov. Tom Ridge from January 1993 to December 1997. In this role, they advised the Governor on issues relating to economic development and technology policy. Mark began their career in public service as the Associate Director of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs at The White House from January 1990 to December 1993 during the administration of President H. W. Bush.

Mark Frantz received a Bachelor's Degree in Mark'story and Political Science from Allegheny College. Mark then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where they earned their Juris Doctor. Finally, they completed a Master of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business.
