George McLean

George McLean is a seasoned meteorologist with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as a Senior Meteorologist at Guzman Energy, LLC since May 2021, McLean provides meteorological and analytical support for trading and operations. Previously, McLean managed a team of seven meteorologists at Avangrid Renewables, supporting real-time meteorology for trading operations. Prior roles include Lead Senior Meteorologist at Iberdrola Renewables USA, where McLean focused on power trading forecasts, and Senior Meteorologist at Iberdrola Renovables, delivering operational forecasts for wind plants. McLean's early career includes serving as CTO at R&R Sytec, where software development for utilities was a focus. McLean holds a Master’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from the University of Utah and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Ithaca College.
