Rich Robinson is an experienced entrepreneur and advisor in the fast-growing space of blockchain gaming. Rich began their career in 1998 as the Co-founder, MC and Producer of ChopSchticks, Asia's first roving North American stand-up comedy extravaganza. In 2005, they became the Founding Partner of Whip Wham, an advisory and investment practice focused on the fast-moving and dynamic China and Asian markets. In 2010, they joined SOSV as a Mentor for HAX and Chinaccelerator. From 2012 to 2017, they were an Advisory Board Member, former Global Chapter Chair and China Co-Founder of H2. From 2015 to 2019, they were a Clinical Professor of Entrepreneurship at Guanghua School of Management, Peking University and a Guest Lecturer at Tsinghua University. In 2019, they became a Mentor for Schwarzman Scholars and in 2021, they joined Animoca Brands as an Entrepreneur In Residence and Advisor. Additionally, they served on the Board of Trustees for the International School of Beijing from 2015 to 2017.
Rich Robinson obtained their B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California between 1985 and 1989. In 1988, they attended Selwyn College at the University of Cambridge to study English and History. From 1994 to 1996, they obtained an MBA in International Business from the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University. Prior to that, they attended Boston College High School between 1981 and 1985. In June 2022, they obtained the #NFTNYC2022 MC certification from NFT.NYC.
