Azaan Shaikh

Azaan Shaikh is a Product Designer at Hack4Impact, leading the development of a website and design system for HausaNLP to enhance access to NLP resources for the Hausa language. In addition, Azaan has collaborated with non-profit clients to streamline scholarship processes and promote social change. As Co-President and Design Lead at Design Innovation Illinois, Azaan designed an AI Recipe app and served as a Design Instructor, guiding new designers in design thinking. Experience includes roles as a UI/UX Designer for Fitcheck app and Hatch, focusing on B2B platforms and AI recruitment, and a UX Designer at Rocket Companies, where a personalized onboarding flow for home search was created. Azaan's academic background includes pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Sciences with a focus on HCI/UX Design at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
