Seleem Badawy is a Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering student at the Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary, set to graduate in April 2025. With extensive research experience, Seleem works as a Summer Researcher at Stanford University School of Medicine and as a Student Researcher at the University of Calgary, focusing on breast cancer and aortic aneurysms. Additionally, Seleem is a Fellow at HaloHealth, a Diversity Committee Member for the Biomedical Engineering Society, and the President and Co-Founder of Project SciCorp, a non-profit organization promoting youth entrepreneurship. Further involvement includes roles as Fund Manager for the UCeed Haskayne Student Fund and participation in the Amgen Scholars Program at the University of Toronto. Select accomplishments also include research involving groundbreaking genetic mutations and biodegradable packaging design, reflected in academic contributions such as national competition awards and outreach initiatives for STEM Fellowship.
