Salman Zafar

Salman (Sal) Zafar is a highly experienced professional in asset management and financial planning, currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Halton Region since May 2024. Zafar has been a member of the ISO Technical Committee on Asset Management (TC251) since December 2018 and actively participates in the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' Technical Working Group for the Municipal Asset Management Program since April 2021. Previously, Zafar held key roles in various organizations, including Manager of Tangible Capital Assets at the District Municipality of Muskoka and Program Advisor for Asset Management at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario. Zafar's academic background includes advanced degrees in Economics and Macroeconomic Policy from the University of Waterloo and the Barcelona School of Economics, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Economics from the Lahore University of Management Sciences.
