We’re looking for a

Mailroom Associate

Based in Richmond, Virginia and reporting to the Underwriting Operations Team Lead, Hamilton Select, the successful candidate will join Hamilton’s growing Business/Services Operations in the US.

This role will support our Underwriting, Claims and Finance teams in ensuring the timely, precise operation of our mailing and mail-related services.

Hamilton Select is our US excess and surplus lines insurer based in Richmond, Virginia underwriting hard-to-place accounts in the small and middle-market space through an appointed wholesale broker network.

What you will do

  • Process, sort and archive incoming mail

  • Monitor incoming items and ensure appropriate documentation upon receipt

  • Deliver mail and packages to internal recipients in a timely manner

  • Prepare and transport outgoing mail and parcels to local mailing facilities

  • Handle high priority Certified Mail according to company guidelines

  • Participate in additional underwriting operations tasks as required

What you require for the role

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Typing and data entry capability with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Focused organization and time management
  • Effective team player with collaborative and supportive approach
  • Ability to work within deadlines
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
