Derocke Croom

DeRocke Croom, CPRP, serves as the Athletic Director for Hampton City Schools since August 2022, following a significant tenure at the City of Hampton as Recreation Program Coordinator - Athletics from October 2015 to September 2022, where effective strategies were developed for athletic league management. Prior experience includes roles such as Recreation Supervisor II for the City of Williamsburg, Sr. Recreation Supervisor II - Athletics for the City of Norfolk, and Sr. Recreation Professional for the City of Hampton. Croom's coaching experience spans high school and collegiate levels, including positions at Gloucester High School, Bethel High School, and Hampton University. Croom holds a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Studies from Hampton University and is a certified professional through the National Recreation and Park Association and the Academy for Youth Sports Administrators.
