Conicia Jackson

Vice President at Hanover Co-op Food Stores

CJ grew up in a small town known as East St. Louis, IL, which sits along the Mississippi River and borders St. Louis, MO. With a passion for food quality that began as a child after noticing that her community did not have access to healthy/quality food options, she began passionately pursing ways in which she could lend her voice towards aiding underserved communities with gaining access to adequate housing, healthier food options, and quality education and healthcare.

Before moving to Vermont, CJ worked in the Finance/Supply Chain department for a large managed healthcare company for ten years. Currently, she works for a wonderful nonprofit known as NeighborWorks of Western Vermont where she aids landlords in obtaining grant funding to rebuild their vacant/blighted apartment units to rent to the homeless or low-income. She has a degree in Economics and an MBA and is currently pursuing a JD at Vermont Law School where she will finish in spring of 2022. CJ plans to use her experience and knowledge to continue to advocate for healthy communities.
