Dashawn Hickman

DaShawn Hickman is an accomplished healthcare professional currently serving as a Healthcare Administration and Quality Improvement Fellow at Harbor-UCLA Department of Emergency Medicine and a Board Member at The Andrew Levitt Center for Social Emergency Medicine. With prior experience as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Kaiser Permanente and as a Northern California Regional Vice President for the Committee of Interns and Residents/SEIU Healthcare, DaShawn has a strong background in emergency medicine and leadership. Additional roles include Emergency Medicine Resident Physician at Alameda Health System - Highland Hospital, Patient Access Diversity Program Lead at Care Access, and a member of the NBME where advocacy for USMLE reforms was a key focus. Educational credentials include an MD/PhD in Pathology from Case Western Reserve University, a Master’s degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Yale University.
