Kang Liu

Kang Liu is an experienced data scientist with a strong background in machine learning and data engineering. Currently serving as Lead Data Scientist at HarbourVest Partners since February 2021, Kang Liu previously held roles as Senior Data Scientist at Wolters Kluwer Health, where contributions included building AI models for predicting hospital-acquired infections and developing data pipelines for electronic health records. Prior experience also includes serving as a Postdoctoral Associate at Brandeis University, designing machine learning methods and inference approaches, and as a Research Scientist at Boston University, focusing on computational methods to analyze physiological systems. Kang Liu earned a PhD in Statistical Physics from Boston University and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Peking University.
