QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Certified Journeyman Plumber with 2 years of experience
Possess the knowledge of various plumbing aspects (underground, over-head rough setting fixtures, water supply and drainage, gas, piping, and other plumbing systems)
The ability to travel as needed (not optional)
Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
Possess the knowledge and ability to operate equipment and tools of the trade
Structured and organized leadership skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters) in commercial structures
Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other professionals during construction
Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems, identifying and diagnosing plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques
Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used
Adhere to all plumbing building codes and regulations
Ensure all work meets safety standards and follows best practices
Must be detail-oriented, have a positive attitude, and be able to work as part of a team
Review blueprints, drawings, building codes, and specifications to determine work details and procedures
Ensuring the quality and timeliness of installed pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, and fixtures while using hand and power tools
Train and manage less experience plumbers and achieve significant improvements in their productivity
Pipe fitting, soldering, brazing
The ability to install copper, PVC piping and set fixtures
The ability to cut, thread, fit pipes, valves, and caulking
Experience in commercial plumbing such as corporate offices, dining establishments, and educational institutions, and federal contracts
Be able to level earth to fine grade specifications using picks, shovels, and mix concrete
