Jose Claxton

Jose Claxton is currently the Managing Director of Investor Relations at the Blue Harbour Group, where he is responsible for all business development and client service activities. He has previously held several senior leadership positions across product development, business development and strategy at several firms including Latigo Partners, Lehman Brothers, and JP Morgan Asset Management.

Mr. Claxton is a strong advocate of philanthropic work focused on disadvantaged youth and underserved communities. In addition to his work with the Harlem School of the Arts, he serves on the Board of the Charles Hayden Foundation; and serves on the Investment Committee of the Brooklyn Public Library systems endowment. He was previously appointed to the State of New Jersey Investment Council by Governor Jon Corzine serving from 2007 – 2009. Mr. Claxton is a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Business and from Boston University’s School of Engineering.
