Violette Hutchins

Violette Hutchins is a technology and education professional with extensive experience in IT management and consultancy. As the Founder of Genius Grove since May 2024, Violette focuses on empowering education through technology. Previously, Violette has served as an Information Technology Consultant for Harlem Village Academies since January 2023 and held significant roles at Whittle School & Studios as the Director of Global IT Services from April 2019 to July 2022, and at The New School as the Director of IT Central, where responsibilities included supervising office operations and strategic IT planning. Violette's career also includes leadership positions at Pratt Institute, managing technology services from 2008 to 2016, and an IT Technician role at Metropolitan Commercial Bank from 2006 to 2008. Education includes a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Science in English from SUNY Oneonta.
