Drew Gilpin Faust is a distinguished academic and administrator, currently serving as President Emerita and Arthur Kingsley Porter University Research Professor at Harvard University since 2019. From 2001 to 2018, Drew Gilpin Faust held the position of President at Harvard University, along with roles as Lincoln Professor of History, Dean of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, and Professor of Afro-American Studies and History. Prior to this, Drew Gilpin Faust was associated with the University of Pennsylvania from 1972 to 2000, where responsibilities included Director of Women's Studies and Annenberg Professor of History. Early in Drew Gilpin Faust's career, a role as HUD Representative to Local Communities was held at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development from 1968 to 1970. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MA in American Civilization from the University of Pennsylvania, along with a BA in History from Bryn Mawr College.
