Ibrahim Barzak

Ibrahim Barzak is an experienced journalist and academic with a substantial background in news leadership and conflict reporting. Notably serving as the Gaza Chief Correspondent for the Associated Press from 1992 to 2014, Ibrahim transitioned to editorial roles at 218TV and TRT World, ultimately attaining the position of Deputy News Editor at TRT World from 2017 to 2022. Currently affiliated with Harvard University since 2009 as a Nieman Fellow, Ibrahim is furthering academic pursuits with a PhD in Economics at Istanbul University. Ibrahim holds an MBA from Al-Quds University and a BA from Azhar University - Gaza.
